Uganda Cranes Crowned 2016 Caf National Team of the Year

Uganda Cranes have been named the 2016 CAF GLO National team of the year in a colorful awards gala held on Friday 6th in Abuja, Nigeria.

The achievement comes as a result of an outstanding performance that guided the country to the first continental final in nearly 30 decades.

The team is also among the 20 countries still in contention for a spot in Russia 2018 world cup.

The accolade was collected by Fufa CEO Edgar Watson Ssubi who is also a former Uganda Cranes captain. Uganda overcame stiff competition from 2016 Africa Nations Championships winners DR Congo and Senegal.

The Lions of Teranga qualified for the 2017 Africa cup of nations with a perfect record in a group that contained Burundi, Namibia and Niger.

Women.
The Nigeria ladies team, Super Falcons emerged the best women national team for their impressive outing in Cameroon where they scooped their eighth Africa cup of nations (women) title.

Other nominated teams include South Africa and Cameroon- the 2016 losing finalists.

4. Position yourself so you are within her line of sight:  If you hide yourself in the corner, you are not in a position to be noticed by many women. A few of them may notice you, but they will only wonder why you are in the corner rather than being attracted to you. Put yourself out among the crowd.

5. Start a conversation if there is a woman with whom you want to be better acquainted: Speak in a respectful manner. Avoid using slang terms. Practice these conversations ahead of time so you already have an idea of what you will say; however, avoid sounding rehearsed when you actually speak to her.

6. Ask her about herself, and avoid bragging about yourself, even if she asks: While it is important to answer her questions honestly and directly, avoid talking about yourself too much. Keep the focus on her and pay attention. Show her you have been listening by slipping in tidbits she told you into your conversation.

Afcon 2017: Zimbabwe Warriors’ Final Troops Revealed

Zimbabwe head coach Calisto Pasuwa has finally unveiled the 23 warriors to represent the country in the forthcoming Africa cup finals in Gabon.

Pasuwa, who is among the four local coaches heading to the continental showpiece, has opted to maintain composition of the team that led the country throughout the qualification process.

The coach dropped three players from the initial 26 man provisional squad. Among those axed include Marshall Mudehwe, Farai Madhananga and Nelson Chadayi.

Caf player of the year nominee Billiat Khama leads the star studded attack that also boasts of Orlando Pirates striker NdoroTendai. The squad is dominated by players from the country’s local league and the South Africa PSL.

The Warriors face a stun test in group B with North African giants Tunisia, Algeria and favorites Senegal.

Chris Brown to fight Soulja Boy in celebrity boxing match

Chris Brown and Soulja Boy have signed up to go toe-to-toe in a celebrity boxing match.

Writing on Instagram, Soulja Boy said: “It’s going down! Signed my contract I’m leaving the fight with $1,000,000.”

According to the rapper the bout will take place in March in Las Vegas and in his corner will be one of the sports all-time greats.

“I got the best ever my big bro @floydmayweather training me damn,” he added.

Responding to the announcement Chris Brown told his 34m Instagram followers it was time to stop talking.

“Now that we have your undivided attention, boxing match set,” the singer wrote.

He added: “Legally. Man to Man. No more dissing and no more talking. We in the ring with it. Challenge accepted.”

The announcement comes following days of fiery exchanges between the pair via social media.

It apparently started after Soulja Boy, liked and left a comment below a picture on the profile of Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend.

The pair posted several videos and pictures mocking and threatening each other as the argument became more heated.

It wasn’t long before a physical challenge was issued and that seems to have been accepted by both parties.

The three round fight is being promoted by boxing great Floyd Mayweather.

Drama! Wasafi records artiste dumped by girlfriend on social media? He responds

 Tanzanian artiste Harmonize popularly known for hit song Bado featuring Diamond Platnumz is rumored to have been dumped by his girlfriend Wolper stylish on instagram yesterday 4th January through a post she shared on her official page.

The post was however pulled down a few minutes later but thanks to a few screenshots making rounds on social media, the popular couple cannot claim it was forged.

The actress said to have shared the post has been keeping a low profile about the issue and has since said nothing about it either.

It is not clear whether her account was hacked or she did it on purpose to confirm that her relationship with Harmonize was going through a rough patch.

However, Harmonize has come out to call out a blogger who highlighted the story without confriming whether he was dumped by his woman.

Going through their social media pages, the two no longer post photos of each other as they used to. Actress Wolper on the other hand has been pulling down her recent photos with the singer.

Chances are the two might have called it quits or singer Harmonize currently signed under Wasafi records in planning to drop a song in a few week.

Unbelievable! Chidi’s mother linked to the main reason the artiste cannot quit using hard drugs

Well it is clear that a mother has a great influence in her child. She can influence his positively or negatively and unluckily for Chidi Benz he did not get to grow up around tough mothers like some of us did.

Apparently the Tanzanian singer has found it difficult to quit drugs since his mother is always there to protect him as reported by Kalapina, the guy who has been mentoring and counselling Chidi Benz.

Speaking on EA Radio’s Planet Bongo show, the guy blamed Chidi’d mum for being too soft on her son and not showing him the right way. He said,

To be sincere Chidi Benz’ mum loves him a bit too much making him think that she will always be on his side no matter what people say. Chidi has the mentality that his mum will always take him back even when things get out of hand, which is very wrong.

He went on to add that most Tanzanian celebrities who are droning in drugs is simply because their mums are too soft on them.

It is not just Chidi Benz, when you investigate well you will realize that most parents no longer take time to talk to their kids. In fact these ‘kids’ are no only engaging in drugs but in homosexuality without thinking what their parents will say since they are sure they don’t care.

Kenyan comedian, Eric Omondi has become the subject for online jokes as his fans react to his latest parody – a recreation of South Africa’s film; The Gods Must be Crazy.
